About the Journal

OIKOUMENE: Journal of Theology and Christian Studies in Indonesia is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes scholarly articles in the fields of theology, religious studies, and Christianity, with a particular focus on the Indonesian context. The journal serves as a platform for critical dialogue among theologians, scholars, researchers, clergy, and practitioners who engage with theological and religious issues in Indonesia’s diverse and pluralistic society.

The journal welcomes original, research-based manuscripts that explore a wide range of topics, including contextual theology, biblical studies, Christian ethics, ecumenism, church history, Christian education, and interfaith or intercultural dialogue. Submissions are expected to demonstrate academic rigor, contextual relevance, and theological depth.

The primary aim of OIKOUMENE is to foster critical theological reflection and contribute to the advancement of contextual Christian thought and academic discourse within and beyond the church in Indonesia.
