Abstract

This article discusses reflectively amid the euphoria of the 1700th commemoration of the Nicene Creed in 2025. The four dogmatic points of the Nicene Creed: the existence of God, the incarnation of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and one baptism are reflected upon from the perspective of contemporary spirituality. This reflection seeks to determine whether the theological perspective of the Nicene Creed is a step backward or forward for the Church in the 21st century, given its progressive and ecumenical theological understanding.
